1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By inviting, adding, accessing, or utilizing the Hidden Discord application ("Hidden", "the Bot", "we", "us", or "our") in any Discord server, or by interacting with its related web services hosted via third-party providers ("the Website"), you ("User", "Server Owner", or "Administrator") agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to every provision of these Terms, you must immediately remove Hidden from your server and cease all interaction with the Bot and Website.
Your use of Hidden is additionally subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines. Any breach of Discord's policies while utilizing Hidden shall constitute a direct violation of these Terms.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
Hidden is an automated Discord bot providing community management, server administration, security enforcement, and engagement utilities. Features provided by the Bot include, but are not limited to:
- Automated and manual moderation (bans, kicks, temporary bans, server mutes, channel mutes, and warning thresholds).
- ModMail and ban appeal systems utilizing Discord Direct Messages (DMs) and private server threads.
- Message purging, channel locking, bot restriction filters, and chat/media channel constraints.
- Native Discord AutoMod integration and customizable Anti-URL filters with domain whitelisting.
- Audit and message logging dispatched to server-configured Discord webhooks.
- Support ticketing infrastructure with automated transcript generation and staff reminder pings.
- Community systems including role management, reaction roles, Looking For Group (LFG) queues, randomized giveaways with role blacklisting, and staff reputation tracking (+1/-1 scoring).
- Temporary voice channel (Temp VC) provisioning and automated voice activity monitoring.
- Automated response engines delivering customizable text, images, and embeds.
3. HOSTING INFRASTRUCTURE, UPTIME, AND SERVICE AVAILABILITY
Hidden is an independent, non-commercial software project developed and offered free of charge without paid tiers, subscriptions, or external funding.
3.1 Infrastructure and Third-Party Dependencies
The Bot's application process and its underlying relational SQLite database are hosted on a free-tier virtualized container provided by a third-party host. Associated web interfaces and documentation are hosted on a third-party provider.
3.2 Outages and Downtime
Due to reliance on third-party free hosting services and shared server resources, Hidden does NOT guarantee uninterrupted, continuous, or error-free service. Server restarts, node migrations, CPU throttling, host network outages, database lockouts, or sudden host termination may cause the Bot or database to go offline without prior notice.
3.3 Data Volatility and Loss
While the Bot commits configuration records to an SQLite database, we provide zero warranty regarding data retention, persistence, or recovery. Host crashes, disk corruption, container wipes, or host hardware failures may result in the partial or total loss of server configurations, ticket logs, warning histories, or reputation statistics. We shall not be held liable for any data loss, corrupted configurations, or unintended downtime resulting from third-party hosting limitations.
4. SERVER ADMINISTRATOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCEPTABLE USE
4.1 Permission Delegation
Server Administrators acknowledge that Hidden requires elevated administrative and channel management permissions to function properly (e.g., Manage Server, Manage Roles, Manage Channels, Ban Members, Kick Members, Manage Messages). Server Owners are solely responsible for delegating these permissions and configuring role hierarchies. Hidden assumes no responsibility for unauthorized actions taken by server staff members who possess access to the Bot's administrative dashboards or moderation commands.
4.2 Lawful Operation
You agree not to use Hidden for any unlawful, abusive, or malicious purpose. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Utilizing the Bot to coordinate raids, mass pings, harassment, hate speech, or defamatory attacks.
- Attempting to exploit, reverse engineer, overload, flood, or bypass the Bot's command handlers, database rate limits, or API integrations.
- Circumventing channel restrictions, anti-url filters, or moderation commands through automated scripting or spamming.
- Using the Bot in servers that violate local laws or international regulations.
5. AUTOMATED MODERATION AND ACTION ENFORCEMENT
5.1 Automated Punishments
Hidden includes automated enforcement tools, such as the Auto-Punisher warning engine, Anti-URL scanner, and native AutoMod rule synchronizers. These systems automatically kick, ban, timeout, or delete content based strictly on rules defined by your server staff. You acknowledge that automated filters may occasionally misclassify benign messages as spam or unauthorized links.
5.2 Discretionary Actions
The developers of Hidden do not monitor, moderate, or arbitrate actions taken by server staff members against individual users. Any dispute regarding a ban, kick, mute, warning, or blocked appeal executed through Hidden must be handled directly between the affected user and the respective server administration.
6. CONTENT PROCESSING, TRANSCRIPTS, AND AUDIT LOGS
6.1 Real-Time Message Processing
In order to execute moderation, anti-link filtering, message logging, and auto-responder functions, Hidden processes message metadata, author identifiers, and content strings in real time.
6.2 Transcripts and Webhooks
When support tickets are closed, the Bot compiles message history within that specific ticket into a plain-text transcript file and delivers it to the server's designated log channel. Message deletions and edits configured under text logging are compiled and dispatched directly to server-provided Discord Webhook URLs. Server Administrators are responsible for ensuring that webhooks and log channels are secured and accessible only to authorized personnel.
6.3 Direct Messages and ModMail
Users who contact the Bot via Direct Message for ban appeals or ModMail acknowledge that their messages, user IDs, and attached media URLs will be forwarded to private moderation threads within the destination server's staff channels.
7. COMMUNITY UTILITIES: GIVEAWAYS, REPUTATION, AND LFG
7.1 Giveaways
Hidden provides automated giveaway utilities that select winners randomly from eligible message reactions while excluding blacklisted roles. We do not sponsor, guarantee, endorse, or provide prizes for server giveaways. Server owners are solely responsible for prize fulfillment and legal compliance regarding giveaways hosted in their communities.
7.2 Staff Reputation and Leaderboards
The staff reputation engine records net positive and negative ratings submitted by community members. Ratings are tracked per server. The developers of Hidden bear no responsibility for community disputes, staff evaluations, demotions, or conflicts arising from the use of the reputation system.
8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
HIDDEN AND ITS ASSOCIATED WEBSITES ARE PROVIDED STRICTLY ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPERS AND HOSTING PARTNERS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, UPTIME, DATA INTEGRITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- THE BOT WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS.
- THE SERVICE WILL OPERATE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURELY, OR ERROR-FREE.
- CONFIGURATIONS, DATABASE ENTRIES, OR TRANSCRIPTS WILL BE IMMUNE FROM LOSS OR HOST CORRUPTION.
- ANY DEFECTS OR HOSTING INTERRUPTIONS WILL BE CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATED HOSTING PROVIDERS (INCLUDING THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS) BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, SERVER DAMAGE, REPUTATIONAL HARM, SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS, ACCIDENTAL BANS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE HIDDEN, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH ANY PORTION OF THE BOT, ITS CODE, OR ITS TERMS OF SERVICE, YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IS TO REMOVE THE BOT FROM YOUR DISCORD SERVER AND TERMINATE ITS USE.
10. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the developer and contributors of Hidden from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your access to or use of the Bot and Website.
- Your violation of these Terms or applicable Discord policies.
- Actions taken by the Bot within your server at the direction or configuration of your server staff.
- Any content posted, logged, or distributed through your server via Hidden's automated utilities.
11. TERMINATION AND DATA WIPES
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion and without prior notice, to terminate or restrict the Bot's access to any Discord server, user, or guild ID if we detect abusive activity, malicious exploitation, threats to bot stability, or violations of these Terms or Discord's policies. Server Administrators may terminate these Terms at any time by kicking or banning Hidden from their server. Administrators may permanently erase their guild's database records using the built-in wipe buttons inside the respective configuration dashboards (/auto_responder, /text_logs, /staff_repu_setup).
12. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at any time as the Bot expands and changes. Substantial updates will be posted on the official website or announced through the designated Hidden announcement channels. Your continued use of Hidden following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your unconditional acceptance of the updated Terms.
